Architecture and design practices can benefit from a level of industry exposure that is unique and different from other small offices. We need a platform and community beyond a physical space that allows for cross-industry interactions that small offices can benefit from.

Guan Yi

“As a small office it feels lonely sometimes and lacking office culture. Being around other start-up businesses we not only have more fun, also we tend to benefit from sharing experience and information and support each other.”

Wen Hui

“Communities of like-minded, fun-loving, supportive individuals”

“Open minded, creative and explorative”

Why?

We asked our founders some questions, and these are their thoughts on Beyondto Co.

  • WH: We are more ‘pop-up’ and chilled out and informal and macam macam pattern…

GY: The flexibility of usage and collection of events that are aiming to increase interaction and support beyond our design community.

  • WH: Architects and non—architects who enjoy hanging out and using / touching / smelling our selection of books, material samples, model workshop. Anyone who likes free flow biscuits, tea and coffee!

GY: Anyone who is interested in any aspect of design within our built environment and not afraid to share or learn a thing or two with/from others.

  • WH: With the advent of hybrid and work from home practices, more and more work are done outside of the office. When we do go into the office we tend to do more communicative and team building type activities, so that’s what we have in our minds when we designed Beyondto Co - to capture the ‘water cooler moments’ that we can’t replicate on Zoom.

GY: A platform for social interaction beyond working. We hope that our community can help small businesses and individuals grow their practices and expand their networking.
